Why we built ReactReplay.
Most parents never think to record the moment they tell their family they're expecting. Then they spend years wishing they had. We built ReactReplay so no one else has to lose that moment.
The moment that started it
A friend of ours did her gender reveal over a Zoom call because her parents and her in-laws lived 6,000 miles apart. The recording was one mixed grid where grandma was a 200×150-pixel thumbnail and grandpa was off-screen entirely. We never got to keep his face.
We checked every existing tool. None of them did what should have been the obvious thing: record each guest's own camera at full quality, fire a synced countdown so the reveal lands at the same instant on every screen, and return one isolated video file per guest. So we built it.
What ReactReplay is, in one sentence
ReactReplay is the online gender reveal and announcement platform that records every guest's reaction. The host shares one link, every guest's phone fires a countdown together, and the platform returns a separate video file per guest plus an auto-cut 9:16 reveal reel ready for Instagram or TikTok.
What we believe
- The reaction is the gift, not the announcement. The news is one sentence; the reactions are the keepsake. Most tools treat the reaction as exhaust. We treat it as the product.
- Privacy by default. Your reveal is unlisted. Per-recipient links are unique. We don't share reactions between guests; you decide what to show publicly, if anything.
- Pay once, own the footage. No subscriptions. No "your videos expired." The lifetime plans are literal lifetime — buy once at $79+ and the videos stay accessible.
What we're for
ReactReplay was built for gender reveals first, but the same mechanic — synced countdown, isolated per-guest recordings, auto-cut reel — works for any moment where one person tells many people a single piece of news. We've seen hosts use it for pregnancy announcements, twin reveals, engagement announcements, military homecomings, college acceptances, citizenship approvals, cancer-free news, and sobriety milestones. We built a page for each of those occasions.
What we're NOT
We're not a Zoom replacement. We're not a live broadcast platform. We're not a video editor. We don't do public stunts. We don't sell smoke bombs or cakes. We're a single specialized tool for one specific job: capturing reactions to a reveal moment, on every face, on every device.
What's next
We're working on real-time guest sync below ±30ms across phones, server-side auto-cut reels (currently the cut runs in the host browser), and eventually a mobile-native experience for hosts who want to manage reveals from their phone. Read about it on use cases as new occasions ship.
