Gender reveal · ReactReplay use case

Run a gender reveal that captures every face.

Pink, blue, or twins — your room, your countdown, every reaction saved.

A gender reveal is the moment everyone who loves you finds out at the same time. ReactReplay turns that moment into a private room: you upload the result, invite friends and family, hit a synced countdown, and every guest’s camera captures their reaction. No green screen, no fireworks, no FaceTime juggling — just one link and a clean recording per person.

Why this beats a text

The moment is the point.

A text message tells people the answer. A reveal lets you watch grandma cry, dad scream, and your sister roll her eyes — all in real time, all kept forever. Most parents never think to record the moment they tell their family, then spend years wishing they had.

How it works for a gender reveal

Three minutes from setup to live room.

Upload the secret (sex, ultrasound, or a photo). Send one link in your group chat. At showtime everyone hits "Join", grants camera access, and the countdown starts together. The platform records each face, then auto-cuts a 9:16 reaction reel ready for Instagram by the time the confetti settles.

  1. 1. Choose your reveal. Custom headline, accent color, scheduled or instant.
  2. 2. Generate per-recipient links. Paste names — each guest gets a personal URL.
  3. 3. Press start. The countdown plays in every browser; cameras roll; clips land in your library.
Common questions

Gender reveal FAQs.

Can I do a gender reveal online with family in different countries?
Yes. ReactReplay rooms are time-synced across browsers, so the countdown lands on every screen at the same instant — even if grandma is in Manila, your sister is in Berlin, and you’re in Austin. Each guest just needs a phone or laptop with a camera.
How does the platform record everyone’s reaction?
When the countdown ends, each guest’s browser starts recording locally for ~12 seconds using the standard MediaRecorder API. The clips are uploaded to your private library; only you (the host) can watch or download them. No data is shared between guests.
Is a gender reveal video service different from a Zoom call?
A Zoom call records the whole grid as one mixed feed. ReactReplay records each guest as their own video file, so you can pull "Grandma’s reaction" out as a standalone clip, post it solo, and download just that face without re-editing anything.
How much does it cost to do a gender reveal on ReactReplay?
Plans are pay-once: $19 Intimate (up to 6 guests, 30-day video access), $39 Family (15 guests, 1-year), $79 Big Day (30 guests, lifetime), $149 Production (60 guests, lifetime). No subscription, no hidden fees. You only pay when you press "Create reveal & checkout".
Will my guests need to download an app?
No. Everything runs in the browser. Guests tap the invite link, type their name (or the host can mint a per-recipient link with their name pre-set), grant camera access at the right moment, and they’re in.
